What started as a small, family operated real estate company, created to service the needs of a construction-focused developer, has grown to become a leading provider of real estate and related services in the mid-Ohio Valley region.

Harvey Goodman Realtor was founded back in 1956, when Harvey Goodman sold his interest in what was then Richland Motors to his partner so that he could focus on his expanding real estate and home building business in St. Clairsville.

Harvey and his family were very active in the St. Clairsville community, including having helped spearhead the creation of the St. Clairsville Memorial Park in 1961, which is cherished and enjoyed to this day. Just a tiny little town at the time, Harvey Goodman saw great things coming to St. Clairsville. Harvey had the vision to purchase property and build homes. In fact, he built many of the homes in and around the downtown St. Clairsville area, as you can see when you reading the names of the streets honoring various family members.

Mr. Goodman passed the responsibility and privilege of running Harvey Goodman Realtor to his son, John Goodman II. John's commitment to giving "Positively Outrageous Service" set the foundation that would carry the company forward for years to come. 

It was in 1997 that John Sambuco, experienced with property acquisition and successful business practices while working with a nationally recognized retailer, affiliated with Harvey Goodman Realtor. In January 1998 a partnership between the family business and Mr. Sambuco was forged, making Mr. Sambuco the managing partner and broker of Harvey Goodman Realtor.

Today, Harvey Goodman Realtor has expanded from one office to SIX offices throughout the area, including locations in both Ohio and West Virginia. Harvey Goodman Realtor is widely recognized as the leading real estate company in the region, enjoying a commanding market share, and being voted "Best of the Best" every year since 2001 by Ohio Valley supporters.

Services offered by Harvey Goodman Realtor have greatly evolved since the company was first founded. What started as a small office supporting new home sales has become a full service brokerage, offering listing and sale services, buyer agency representation, full property management services, apartment and private home rentals, and commercial sales, listings, and rentals.
